Minor Gas Leak/Precautionary Evacuation/Fire Alarm at King Philip High School. All classes dismissed for the Day.
KPHS was evacuated as a precaution due to a possible gas leak. The odor of gas was detected in and a round a vestibule.
Police were on scene as always to asure a safe evacuation.
School Administration will send a notice home to parents.
This evacuation prompted many calls to the police department and school as parents are obviously on edge due to the school shooting in Florida.
Please share this notice to help us calm fears and decrease call volume into the PD.
