Thanks to an alert San Leandro resident, 79 year-old Lloyd Rowe has been located and is being reunited with his family.

Tonight, shortly before 10pm, a resident in a San Leandro neighborhood called police, reporting that they had seen a man walking in the dark.  Responding officers found Mr. Rowe and are in the process of reuniting him with his family now.  

The SLPD would like to thank those that shared our social media posts regarding tonight's incident, as well as those who took the time to look for him. 

"The success of our ability to quickly find Mr. Rowe is due to the alert resident who called us," stated Lt. Robert McManus.  "This was truly a team effort and once again, proves how strong the San Leandro community is," he said.
