SILVER ALERT: Missing 79 year old Lloyd Rowe - Call Police if Seen
Tonight, the San Leandro Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding an elderly man, who suffers from Dementia, that was last seen this afternoon.
79 year-old Lloyd Rowe has been missing from the Costco Store on Davis St. in San Leandro since 2:00pm today. Mr. Rowe works part-time at the store and was supposed to have been picked up at the end of his shift by an Uber driver and taken to his San Lorenzo home.
Family members called police after Mr. Rowe failed to return home. They are now concerned for his welfare. Police have confirmed that Rowe did not take the Uber ride home. His family have not had contact with him since early this morning.
San Leandro officers are working with neighboring law enforcement agencies and public transit authorities, hoping to find Mr. Rowe quickly.
“Our priority is to find Mr. Rowe as quickly as possible and reunite him with his family,” stated Lt. Robert McManus. “However, to do so, we need the public’s help in finding him. If you’re out shopping, eating at a restaurant, or driving around, please pay close attention and call your local law enforcement agency if you see him,” he said.
Mr. Rowe is 5'09" tall and weighs 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown, plaid jacket and blue jeans.
