Home Invasion Investigation
Around 12:50 a.m., Jackson police responded to a shooting in the 200 block of Edenwood Drive. The preliminary investigation has determined that a man was shot during a home invasion. The victim was transported to a local hospital and remains in stable condition.
The suspects were two black males with handguns. One suspect was described as tall with dread-lock style hair and wearing dark clothing. The second suspect was described as short with dark clothing. They both were armed with handguns. They fled on foot from the rear of the home on Edenwood Drive.
Investigators have been canvassing the area for leads and are seeking the public’s assistance in this investigation. We are asking anyone in the area with an outdoor video surveillance system to contact the Criminal Investigation Division.
Police will continue to canvass and utilize resources in the area. Citizens are asked to report any suspicious activity or anyone with information is urged to contact the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477 (TIPS).
