Good Thursday afternoon! The following ae calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Wednesday, 2/7/18.

-4th St at Grant St, Smyer: Juvenile Issue. A deputy met with individuals related to an issue with a juvenile. Information was collected for a report and remedies were advised to parties.

-FM 1490 at FM 2306, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy responded to a complaint of loose cattle in the area. It was determined the cattle were secured on the property behind a hot fence. No loose livestock were located.

-FM 303 near Norway Rd, Pettit: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate several loose cattle in the area. The area was checked and no livestock were located.

-200 blk FM 1490, Levelland: Warrant Service. A deputy contacted an individual at a residence in the area related to an active arrest warrant. The individual was placed into custody and transported to the jail without incident.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 2/8/18 at 0800 hours: 44 in Hockley County, 6 to be processed, 6 out of county.
