Pedestrian Hit and Run Accident
Dearborn, Mi. — On January 28, 2018, at approximately 2:45pm, the Dearborn Police responded to the area of Schaefer and Henson Street to investigate a pedestrian hit and run accident. The investigation revealed a silver SUV, possibly a GMC Acadia, was traveling southbound on Schaefer when it struck a toddler as he was walking toward a vehicle with his mother. The driver of the SUV failed to stop after the incident and continued south on Schaefer. The driver is only described as a white male.
The Dearborn Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the driver of the vehicle involved in this incident.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “It is important that we speak to the driver of this vehicle and gather as much information as possible for our investigation.”
