Good Tuesday afternoon! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 1/29/18.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Theft. A complainant filed a report for a missing firearm. The information was added to the system and a report was competed related to the complaint.

-6600 blk Wolf Rd, Ropesville: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a loose pig. The owner was contacted and the pig was secured.

-100 blk Cleveland, Smyer: Assault. A deputy responded to a complaint related to an assault that occurred earlier in the day. Information was collected for an assault report.

-200 blk 8th St, Anton: Check Welfare. A deputy was dispatched to check the welfare of a juvenile who left a residence and walked toward Anton. The individual was located with relatives in Anton and remained there. The issue was related to a verbal disturbance that occurred earlier in the day. No offenses were reported.

-500 blk A&M Lane, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy responded to assist Levelland officers with a disturbance in the area. The deputy detained one individual for Levelland PD. The investigation was handled by Levelland officers.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 1/31/18 at 0800 hours: 48 in Hockley County, 2 to be processed, 6 out of county.
