Arrest warrant issued for alleged non-compliant registered sex offender Ted J. Benhower. 
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a wanted non-compliant registered sex offender. On 01/23/2018 an arrest warrant was issued by the Steuben County Superior Court charging 58 year old Ted J. Benhower with 2 felony counts of failure to register as a sex or violent offender. The arrest warrant follows a Sheriff’s Office investigation into allegations that Benhower was not residing at his registered address. Benhower is described as a white male standing 5’8” tall with hazel colored eyes and brown hair. He weighs approximately 150 lbs. and was last known to have facial hair. Anyone with information of the whereabouts of Ted Benhower is asked to contact the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office or Steuben County Crime Stoppers.
