Kern County Fire Department Training House Burn in Wasco

Para espanol, llame a 211. Gracias. If you live or work near the intersection of Filburn Street and Central Avenue in Wasco, please pay close attention to this message. The Kern County Fire Department will be conducting a training house burn on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 28704 Filburn Street in Wasco. The purpose of this house burn is to give your local firefighters actual firefighting experience on a residential structure. It is hard to simulate fire behavior on a practice field. The training your new firefighters will receive from this house burn will give them vital experience to be able to effectively perform their job for the public we serve. The Kern County Fire Department has carefully planned and prepared for this training burn to ensure it will be conducted in a safe and professional manner.
