Press Release: Following car stop, subject arrested for possession of a Heroin and Crack Cocaine

ACCUSED: James Militello, Age 49, Red Bank, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On January 21, 2018 at approximately 7:40pm Ptl Miguel Medina was on routine patrol in the Borough of Interlaken. Ptl Medina observed a vehicle commit a motor vehicle violation on Grassmere Ave and subsequently conducted a motor vehicle stop on Monmouth Road in the Township of Ocean.
Further investigation conducted by the officers involved revealed the accused subject to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances suspect crack cocaine and heroin. The accused was subsequently charged with 2 counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances and failure to turn over CDS to law enforcement. In accordance with bail reform guidelines the accused was committed to Monmouth County Jail pending a court date.
