Significant snow accumulations are forecast for the higher elevation mountains, especially in northern New Mexico through late this evening. Strong to severe winds will also accompany snow, producing near white-out conditions at times, mainly in the mountains, along with frigid temperatures and bitterly cold wind chills. ...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow occurring. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Tree branches could fall as well. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, with localized amounts up to 6 inches, are expected.
