Report of stranded motorist leads to arrest of two on trespassing charges.

On January 20, 2018, at approximately 10:42 a.m. Sergeant Bruce L. Vanoven was dispatched to the 13000 block of East 275 South in rural Oakland City in reference to a stranded vehicle on private property. The caller advised dispatch that they were unsure if the people were allowed to be on the property or not. Upon arriving Sgt. Vanoven found 29 year old Kesha Hooper of Princeton and 32 year old Joshua Green of Oakland City on the property. With the assistance of Oakland City Chief Tim Gaines and Gibson County Sergeant Tim Coomer an investigation was conducted that resulted in both Ms. Hooper and Mr. Green being placed into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail Ms. Hooper and Mr. Green were charged with Criminal Trespassing. Both individuals remain in custody on a $650 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
