Good Friday afternoon! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Thursday, 1/18/18.

-2400 blk E FM 597, Anton: 911 Hang-Up. A deputy responded to a call related to a 911 hang-up at a residence. Contact was made with the residents and the call was accidental. No offenses were reported or observed.

-2400 blk Cardinal Ln, Levelland: Burglary. Deputies were dispatched to a reported burglary offense at a residence. Several items were reported stolen, including two televisions. The matter is under investigation.

-300 blk Maurer, Anton: 911 Hang-Up. A deputy was dispatched to a 911 hang-up call at a residence in the area. Deputies attempted to contact parties but no one was at the residence.

-Black Gold Rd at FM 301, Sundown: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy observed a vehicle stopped in the area and contacted the occupants. The information was collected and parties left the area. No offenses were observed or reported.

-America Rd at Hwy 385, Levelland: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate a vehicle in the area after a caller advised of suspicious activity. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located. The area continues to be under close watch.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, civil process service, and traffic enforcement.

Jail population as of 1/19/18 at 1530 hours: 53 in Hockley County, 7 out of county.
