Due to the water main break repairs on Ala Moana Boulevard, adjustments are being made to the afternoon contraflow by the Hawaii Convention Center. One mauka-bound traffic lane on Kalakaua Avenue will permit motorists to turn left onto Kapiolani Boulevard during today’s rush hour traffic.
Board of Water Supply crews are continuing their efforts to repair an 12-inch water main break on Ala Moana Boulevard near the Ala Moana Shopping Center bus stop. Repairs to the main break have resulted in the closure of two west-bound lanes of Ala Moana Boulevard between Atkinson Drive and Piikoi Street. Motorists are advised to expect delays and to please avoid the area if possible. Repairs to the main break and roadway are expected to continue overnight through tomorrow.
