Today, at approximately 1140 hours, Culver City Police Department Officers responded to a call of a suspect with a gun at the Big Lots, located at 5587 Sepulveda Blvd. The suspect fled left Big Lots in a car before the officers arrived.  After some investigating, officers were able to determine that the suspect vehicle was registered to an address on Diller Ave. in Culver City.  Culver City Police Officers responded to the address in an attempt to locate the suspect and vehicle.  
 
Out of safety concerns for the children at nearby El Marino Elementary School, Culver City Police personnel requested that the school be placed on a modified lockdown. The modified lockdown lasted approximately fifteen minutes before being lifted.
 
The suspect was located at the Diller Ave. address and arrested without incident.  A handgun was recovered at the scene of the arrest.
