Last night was a big night of celebration for all of law-enforcement when the Clayton County Board of Commissioners appointed Kevin Roberts the new Chief of the County Police!

Kevin Roberts started his career with Clayton County Police in 1998 and has earned and held every every rank the department has to offer.  Over the years Roberts became a respected and beloved member of the law-enforcement  comunity.   Chief Deputy Shon Hill who was Chief Roberts’s training officer back in 1998 said “I can’t think of a better man to lead the Clayton County Police Department into the 21st century.”   Sheriff Victor Hill who also met Chief Roberts in 1998 said “His reputation within the Clayton County Police Department and the community is honorable. He has the support of the rank and file members of the agency in addition to the leaders of the county”. 

The Clayton County Police and the Sheriff’s Office has developed a close working relationship over the last 5 years, and Chief Roberts leadership will take that relationship to the next level for the safety and quality of of life for all.   Congratulations Chief Roberts!
