Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 1/16/18.

-2100 blk FM 2646, Levelland: Alarm. A deputy responded to a residence in the area related to an alarm. The residence was checked and no reasons for the alarm were located.

-3800 blk W. Hwy 114, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to the area to locate loose cattle. Twenty-one head of cattle were located loose in the area with no clear brand. The cattle were secured in the area with permission of a property owner until the owner of the cattle is located.

-6800 blk Hwy 114, Smyer: Fire. Deputies responded to a reported structure fire at a residence in the area. Deputies assisted and fire departments arrived to extinguish the fire.

-1700 blk FM 3261, Levelland: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate a reckless driver in the area. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.

-Hwy 114 at FM 168, Smyer: Reckless Driver. A deputy was notified of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Hwy 114. The deputy was in the area at the time the call was received, but the vehicle was not located.

-1800 blk FM 1490, Levelland: Racing. Deputies were notified of several vehicles racing along FM 1490. The area was checked and the vehicles were not in the area.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow up activities.
