WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY EXTENDED UNTIL 9 PM EST THIS EVENING...
WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 3 PM EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Snow occurring. Very cold wind chills expected. Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the evening commute. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected. Expect wind chills to range from 10 to 15 below zero tonight into Tuesday.
* WHERE...Portions of East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 9 PM EST this evening. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 11 PM this evening to 3 PM EST Tuesday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A LEVEL 1 TRAVEL ADVISORY remains in effect for Wayne County due to additional snow accumulation and the blowing and drifting of snow on county roads and city streets.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
