Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports that his deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on 01/14/18 at approximately 0310 hours at the intersection of Dewey Lake St and Wickett Rd. The driver, Ashley Coates, 19 year old from Granger, IN was traveling southbound on Wickett Rd when she lost control coming up to Dewey Lake St leaving the roadway. The vehicle struck a tree which caused it to rollover. Seatbelts were used and airbags deployed. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this case. Coates was transported to Borgess Lee in Dowagiac by Pride Care for minor injuries. This case remains under investigation.
