On 01-11-18 at approximately 5:30 pm, an attempted sexual assault occurred on the Iron Horse Trail in the area of Newell Ave. and S. Broadway. Walnut Creek Police Department Officers responded and conducted a preliminary investigation and East Bay Regional Park District Police Department Officers arrived to assume primary investigative responsibility. Detectives from WCPD and the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department will work jointly to identify the suspect in this crime.
