Fairfield Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1400 Block of West Texas Street on Thursday, Jan 11. The shooting was reported at 2:20 PM. Officers responded and found evidence of a shooting in a driveway between two businesses.
Shortly after the officers arrived, a victim arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower torso. He was driven there by a friend. His injury is considered life-threatening.
Witnesses described the shooter only as a young male wearing a dark sweatshirt who fled southbound through a trailer park. He has not yet been identified or located.
