* Flood Watch for portions of northeast Georgia and western North Carolina, including the following areas, in northeast Georgia, Rabun. In western North Carolina, Henderson, Macon, Southern Jackson, and Transylvania.

* Persistent moderate rain ahead of a cold front will occur this afternoon through Friday evening. Rainfall amounts as high as 4 inches are expected.
* Rises on rivers in the watch area could lead to flooded farmland, flooded low water crossings, and high water on some roads.
* AFFECTED AREAS: HENDERSON ... MACON ... SOUTHERN JACKSON ... TRANSYLVANIA
