...A WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF THE MIDSOUTH FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING... .A system will move in late Thursday night ushering in rain that will gradually transition to a mix of freezing rain and sleet early Friday morning, then eventually to all snow late Friday. Ice accumulations up to 0.30 inches will be possible before noon. A transition to all snow should take place Midday for the watch area. Light snow could last into Friday evening. Snow accumulations up to 4 inches will be possible, keeping travel conditions hazardous into the overnight hours Friday.
