1 injured in crash

Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 06 January 2018, at approximately 1700 hours, his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash on Topash st near Townhall rd in Silver Creek Township, Cass County Michigan. 64 yr old, San Antonio resident, Mikel Matthews was traveling eastbound on Topash when a snow mobile operated by 63 yr old, Dowagiac resident, Joseph Vantuyle failed to yield at the signed intersection of the snowmobile crossing.
Mr. Vantuyle was transported to Borgess Lee Dowagiac for minor injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, helmets and seatbelts were worn.
