WINTER STORM UPDATE 8PM
Most of the major roadways have been plowed. Route 1 is cleared and downed to blacktop. High winds are increasing concerns about snow drifting and blowing back on to previously cleared roadways. This will especially be a problem in the eastern portion of the Township off Route 130. Schools are closed on Friday and Township offices have a delayed opening of 9:30am
TRAFFIC –
All roads are slippery and reduced speeds are required while traveling. Motorists should be alert for snow drifts on off ramps and side roads.
CLOSED
All South Brunswick Schools will be CLOSED on Friday, January 5, 2018 due to inclement weather.

South Brunswick Municipal Building will open at 9:30am
Weather Forecast -
The main story tonight is the significant blowing and drifting expected with winds gusting upwards of 35 - 45 mph. As a result, previously cleared areas will be able to recover with snow. Temperatures currently in the 20s will also dip well into the teens overnight (a few areas in the single digits), and factoring in the gusty conditions, wind chills will be below freezing. Watch out for freeze-up of any slush or wet surfaces as well. Expect similar conditions Friday and Saturday as winds stay up and temps remain very cold.
