5PM SNOW STORM UPDATE– 6 Inches of snow fell, 84 police incidents, 11 crashes, 15 motor vehicle assists. Hazardous driving conditions.
The snowfall has stopped but roadways remain hazardous. From 6am this morning South Brunswick Police have handled 84 police incidents, with 11 motor vehicle crashes and 15 motor vehicle assists. Several roads have been closed for periods of time during the day including Route 1, Route 130, Route 32, and Ridge Road. South Brunswick Township Public Works plow crews are working along with State and County crews to clear area roadways. A large concern is the blowing and drifting of snow on to previously plowed roads. Bitter cold is expected to grip our community over the next three days. Please limit all travel tonight.
In the morning drivers need to leave extra time and use reduce speed for their commutes.
