The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
January 3rd
0924 Hours: Officer Knutson recovered a Honda Civic that was reported stolen out of Stanislaus County on the 6300 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue. The registered owner was notified of the recovery.
1331 Hours: Officer Allum investigated a hit and run accident on the 35100 block of Newark Boulevard.
1604 Hours: Officer Horst investigated an auto burglary on the 6600 block of Clark Avenue. The loss is a laptop computer.
2124 Hours: Officer Geser investigated the theft of a Red 1995 Honda Accord (CA License #3KCD830) on the 5800 block of Jarvis Avenue.
