Jersey Central Power & Light Update
Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) meteorologists are closely monitoring the winter storm that is expected to arrive in the area tomorrow. JCP&L is prepared to activate its storm restoration plan should conditions warrant.
JCP&L is also prepared for the extremely cold weather that is expected and reminds customers to be prepared as well.
In the event outages occur, customers without power are encouraged to call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) to report the outage, or click the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com. In the event of severe weather, customers should immediately report downed wires to their utility, or call their local police or fire department.
