*Road Closure* Effective immediatly, Mo Bottom Rd is closed between Tulip Tree & St. Louis Mills due to instability. 
Hazelwood, MO, December 22, 2009, 2:15 PM – Effective immediately, Missouri Bottom Road has been closed between Tulip Tree Lane and St. Louis Mills Blvd. The Director of Public Works/City Engineer has conducted a study and determined that Missouri Bottom Road has become unstable between these two intersections and is a risk to drivers utilizing the roadway.
The direct cause of the instability has not been specifically determined; however the deterioration of the hillside on the west side of Missouri Bottom Road has initially been identified as the primary factor. A geotechnical study of the landscape is scheduled for this week. A strategic plan to resolve the circumstances related to the instability of the roadway is currently underway.
