On January 1, 2018 at approximately 8:40 pm, SVPD Officers responded to a burglary in progress at the 1500 block of Jefferson Way. Upon arrival, the officers observed evidence of a burglary and contained the area. At one point during the incident, the suspect attempted to escape the perimeter without success and retreated back into the building. When it was announced that a K-9 would be deployed into the complex, the suspect voluntarily exited, and surrendered to officers.
The suspect was identified as Cameron Keith 25 years old from Woodland Hills, CA. Mr. Keith was arrested for residential burglary and for an outstanding arrest warrant and booked into the Ventura County Jail.
