Wind Chill Advisory until 12:00PM Monday

...BITTER COLD CONTINUES... .Very cold temperatures will exist today through Tuesday as arctic high pressure builds across northern New England. While wind chill values are expected to be cold all day today, the coldest wind chills are expected to be tonight through Tuesday morning. Folks out and about tonight for New Year`s Eve festivities should take proper precautions to avoid frostbite, which can happen very quickly with such low temperatures and wind chill values. ...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin. Expect wind chills to range from 10 below zero to 25 below zero.

* WHERE...Portions of and southern New Hampshire and south central and southwest Maine.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Monday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
