Two Suspects Arrested for Identity Theft and Maintaining a Drug House

INCIDENT: Identity Theft and Maintaining a Drug House
LOCATION: 7300 Block of Autumn Chase Drive, Highland
SUSPECT(S): John Navarrete, 36-year-old, resident of Highland
Yocelin Martinez, 21-year-old, resident of Highland
VICTIM(S): Confidential

Summary:
On December 18, 2017, deputies responded to the area of the 7800 block of Autumn Chase Drive reagrding a person going through mailboxes in the area. Dispatch informed deputies of the suspect's vehicle description.Deputies located the suspect's vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. John Navarrete and Yocelin Martinez were the two suspects inside the vehicle. During the traffic stop, a large amount of mail, which is believed to be stolen, was recovered in the car. The investigation led to a business located in the 26000 Baseline Street in the city of Highland.During a search of the business, drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine, and suspected stolen property were located. Through investigation, it was determined Navarrete was living in the business.

Navarrete and Martinez were transported and booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. Navarrete was charged with violation of PC 530.5 - Identity Theft and H&S 11366 - Maintaining a Drug House and his bail was set at $100,000.00. Martinez was charged with violation of PC 530.5 - Identity Theft and her bail was set at $50,000.00.

Investigators believe Navarrete and Martinez have stolen from other victims.Their photographs have been released to the public to assist with identifying more victims.If you believe you have been a victim in relation to this investigation, you are urged to contact Detective J.
