Advisory

Felony OWI-5th Offense

On December 30, 2017 at 2:55 AM, the Middleton Police Department was notified by the Dane County 911 Center of a vehicle traveling westbound on Highway M from Highway 113 that was driving erratically and occasionally stopping in the roadway for no apparent reason.

A short time later, a Middleton police officer observed a vehicle that matched the description of the reported erratic driver traveling on Century Avenue near Elm Lane. The officer noted that the vehicle was continuously drifting out of its traffic lane before being stopped.

The driver was identified as Isiah A. Wilson, 37, of Madison.  Wilson had slurred speech and displayed other signs of impairment by alcohol.  After he completed field sobriety testing, Wilson was arrested for 5th offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OWI).  A search warrant was obtained for an evidentiary sample of Wilson’s blood, which will be sent to the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory for analysis.

Wilson was booked into the Dane County Jail for 5th offense OWI.  He was also ticketed for operating after the revocation of his driver’s license and lane deviation.
