*2nd Update* #LASD Dets Continue Investigation into Stabbing Death of Couple, 4200 blk Center St., Baldwin Park

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing to assist Baldwin Park Police Department personnel with their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a man and woman.  The crimes occurred around 11:40 A.M. on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, in the 4200 block of Center Street, Baldwin Park.

Preliminary investigation revealed the deaths were the result of a murder/suicide, in which the man, identified as the suspect and husband of the victim, stabbed his wife an unknown number of times with a kitchen-style knife.  After fatally injuring his wife, the suspect stabbed himself to death.  The knife was recovered at the scene.
Detectives learned the couple shared a history of domestic violence and there was a call for service the day prior to discovery of the bodies.  Detectives do not believe any other individuals were involved, however, witnesses with information about this investigation are encouraged to contact homicide detectives.

At this time, identification of the victim and suspect will not be released pending notification of next of kin.

No additional information is available at this time.
