There has been a water main break on Evergreen Avenue between Tower Road and Hill Road.  Since it is subfreezing winter weather and to avoid making a greater ice flow and slipping hazard, it was necessary to also shut the water service off in the one block segment of Hill Road between Evergreen Avenue and Fairview Avenue to isolate this break and begin to make repairs.  The segment of Evergreen Avenue where the break occurred is closed with “No Thru Traffic” and “Water Utility Work” signs posted at the Tower and Hill Road intersections.  Depending upon the extent of the necessary repairs, it is likely that Evergreen Avenue will be closed off for the remainder of the day.  KPU will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to your, our ratepayers.
