Winter Weather Advisory until 06:00PM Sunday

...SNOW TO HAMPER THE HOLIDAY TRAVEL RUSH... .An area of snow will move into west central Illinois late tonight, and will overspread much of the region on Sunday morning. Current indications are that the heaviest snow will fall north of a Rushville to Danville line, but a couple inches are likely as far south as Taylorville and Mattoon. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on slippery driving conditions. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches are expected.

* WHERE...East central Illinois.

* WHEN...The snow is expected to develop early Sunday morning, and continue through mid afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While significant blowing snow is not anticipated, an increasing northwest wind in the afternoon may result in some drifting snow in a few areas. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.
