Good Thursday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Wednesday, 12/20/17.

-100 blk Ellwood, Anton: Threat. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a threat made toward an individual. It was determined there was no offense, but information was collected to document the complaint. Remedies were advised to the complainant.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Fraud. A deputy met with a complainant regarding an online fraud issue. The individual reported sending money to an unknown person. Information was collected for a report and the matter is under investigation.

-1600 blk Avenue S, Levelland: Alarm. Deputies responded to a reported alarm at a business in the area. The building and the property were checked and determined to be secure.

-2800 blk Robert Lee, Levelland: Threat. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a reported threat. The complainant reported receiving threatening messages. Information was collected for a report and the matter is being investigated.

-FM 2646 at East Ellis, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy was on patrol east of Levelland and observed what appeared to be a vehicle “spotlighting” while driving down the road in the area. The deputy intended to contact the driver but the vehicle fled the area before the deputy could get close enough. Information was relayed to Levelland PD and the area was searched but the vehicle was not located. Information will also be forwarded to Texas Parks and Wildlife.

-600 blk Justin Rd, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to locate a goat in the area. The area was searched but no loose goat was located.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 12/21/17 at 0800 hours: 46 in Hockley County, 8 to be processed, 6 out of county.
