Traffic Stop Results in Drug Arrest. 21 pounds of marijuana ready for shipping seized

Larkspur, CA – December 13, 2017. A routine traffic stop earlier this week resulted in two men being arrested on drug trafficking charges.

On Monday, December 11th, Officer Jared Boss was working a daytime traffic enforcement assignment on Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera. About 1:00 p.m. he saw a Hyundai Sonata traveling west on Tamalpais Drive well above the speed limit. He stopped the car on Pixley Avenue, near the Corte Madera Post Office. During the course of the traffic stop five cardboard boxes containing vacuum sealed bags of cultivated marijuana were located. The parcels had U.S. Postal Service shipping labels and were ready for mailing to various addresses in New York State. Both men were taken into custody without incident. CMPA requested assistance from the Marin County Major Crimes Task Force and MCCTF officers assisted with obtaining search warrants and locating and collecting additional evidence. The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be added.

George Christodoulou, age 20, of Whitestone, New York and Addison Tamura , age 19, of Little Neck, New York were booked at Marin County Jail on felony charges of Trafficking Cannabis. Their bail was set at $15,000 each
