A period of accumulating snow is expected across southern Wisconsin from late afternoon Friday into Friday evening. Are you and your vehicle ready? Plan ahead. 

• Familiarize yourself with the features on your vehicle- such as antilock brakes and electronic stability control. and how the features perform in slippery conditions
• Clear the snow and ice off your car.
• See and be seen! Drive with your headlights on. 
• Give yourself more time for your commute. 
• Slow down! Pay attention to the roadway and increase the following distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
