Armed Robbery
Today, December 6th at approximately 11:42 a.m., officers of the Jackson Police Department responded to a robbery in progress at 49 Kenworth Boulevard, Dollar General.
Officers of the Jackson Police Department, the K9 Unit, and Madison County Sheriff's Department had a quick response and were able to establish a solid perimeter. The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody in the area of Chesswood Boulevard.
The identity of the suspect will be released upon being formally charged.
