TRC has been chosen to do the work. The project will begin Monday, December 11. The contractor expects construction to be complete by the first week in January, 2018. Expect some road closures and temporary sewer interruptions if your residence is tapped onto the existing main.  

There will be short interruptions of approximately 2 hours in sewer service for residents along Ute Ave during construction while the contractor moves sewer taps from the old main to the new. The contractor will advise residents when their service will be interrupted. Those residents will need to discontinue use of these facilities in your home while your sewer tap is moved.  Please remember your residence sewer line carries ALL water to the sewer main (not just toilet water) including kitchen and other sink discharge, laundry water from your washer, tub and shower water, etc. Affected customers may want to take remedial measures in advance. These precautionary plans could include stocking up on drinking water and storage of water in containers to use to flush your toilet. 

Normal work hours will be from 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday as requested by the contractor.  Road closures will be block-to-block and will be “traveling” along with the construction as it progresses from Llano to Animas. Manhole bases will be poured in place so there will be open trenches overnight protected with fencing in some locations. All residences will have access throughout construction but will be interrupted as the construction passes driveways.
