Press Release: Structure Fire, 2300 block of Eagle Av, Alameda

This morning, at 5:50 am, Alameda Fire responded to the report of a structure fire on the 2300 block of Eagle Avenue.  Arriving companies found fire in the residence of a one-story dwelling.  Bystanders advised of an adult male resident who may still be inside.

Firefighters searched for the occupant while other crews extinguished the fire.  A deceased adult male was found inside the building by firefighters.

No other injuries were reported.  There were 33 firefighters that responded.

Fire investigators are working with Alameda Police and Alameda County Sheriff’s Office to determine the fire cause and origin.
