CMPD AND OC PROBATION CONDUCTED POST-RELEASE COMMUNITY SUPERVISION COMPLIANCE CHECK

COSTA MESA, Calif. – The Costa Mesa Police Department (CMPD) collaborated with the Orange County Probation Department (OC Probation) yesterday, Nov. 30, 2017, to conduct compliance checks on offenders subject to Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS), per the State Prison Realignment Assembly Bill 109. These checks were designed to locate and audit the activity of local criminal offenders residing within the City of Costa Mesa, who are under the supervision of OC Probation.

Officers attempted 12 residential home checks, 10 of which were completed. Two vehicles were searched under probation conditions and two citations were issued, including one vehicle code violation, and one possession of an open alcohol container. They contacted 40 individuals, 10 of which were under the supervision of OC Probation. The compliance checks resulted in eight arrests, including two offenders arrested for violations of the conditions of their supervision and/or new criminal law violations.

Those arrested, with names withheld*, are:

Location of arrest: 300 block of Ralcam Place
Supervision status: mandatory supervision
Booking charges: possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, transportation of controlled substances, possession of methamphetamine for sale, sale or transportation of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, destroying or concealing evidence, and probation violation warrants
Seized: 31 grams of heroin, five grams of methamphetamine, $425 in unlawful proceeds

Male, 22, Costa Mesa
Location of arrest: 600 block of Wallace Avenue
Supervision status: informal probation
Booking charges: possession of drug paraphernalia
