Mail theft thwarted in Walnut!

On 11-06-17 Walnut / Diamond Bar Deputies were called to investigate someone going through mail boxes in a Walnut City neighborhood. The Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle attempting to leave the area. During the investigation deputies located numerous pieces of mail and packages in the suspect’s vehicle, belonging to Walnut residents. The suspect was arrested for mail theft and booked at Walnut station. Without the help of an observant Walnut City resident who notified the Sheriff Station the suspect would have gotten away.
