...AREAS OF DENSE FOG EXPECTED THROUGH THE NIGHT... .The combination of copious moisture off the Gulf of Mexico along with calm winds and partly clear skies will lead to the formation of areas of dense fog across the area overnight. The fog will linger beyond sunrise before dissipating, especially near the Atchafalaya Basin where the passage of a cool front and the onset of its associated light northerly winds will be latest. ...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THURSDAY... The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM CST Thursday.
* VISIBILITY...1/4 mile or less.
* IMPACTS...The patchiness of the dense fog will result in large changes in visibility over short distances. Use extreme caution while driving through and near dense fog.
