Riverbank, CA - On 11-28-17 at about 5:05 p.m., Riverbank Police Services deputies responded to a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Patterson Road and Snedigar Road. When deputies arrived, they learned that 29-year-old Felix Wilkerson was driving in excess of 75 MPH on Patterson Road when he struck a vehicle at the intersection and then fled the scene.
Wilkerson was followed by alert citizens from Patterson Road to Eleanor Avenue where he drove off the roadway and into a pasture. The citizens were able to stop Wilkerson and keep him from leaving until deputies arrived.
A woman and two children were in the vehicle struck by Wilkerson. One of the passengers was a four-year-old child, and she was transported by helicopter to the emergency room with a head injury. The woman and second child in the vehicle were transported to the hospital for treatment. There are no updates on the condition of the 4-year-old child.
Wilkerson was arrested for felony hit and run and reckless driving.
