Have you registered for Central Marin Police Authority's Citizen Police Academy yet?

Applications are open and some seats are still available for our 2018 Citizen Police Academy, with classes beginning in February.

The Citizen Police Academy (CPA) starts Thursday, February 8, 2018 and meets once a week for ten consecutive weeks, ending on April 12th. Classes are held from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. CPA is free and open to adults age 18 and over who live or work in Larkspur, Corte Madera, or San Anselmo.

Attending CPA offers you a unique opportunity to get an inside look at law enforcement and to gain a better understanding of the police department -- it's functions and operational procedures. In the weekly presentations by department personnel you will be introduced to many aspects of police work, including Patrol operations, CSI, Detectives, Special Response Team, DUI investigation, and much more. Other highlights include a ride-along with a patrol officer and full tours of both our police stations, as well as the Marin County Sheriff’s 9-1-1 Communications Center.

To register, see the class flyer and the application form on our website at www.centralmarinpolice.org/270/CMPA-Citi.... The application deadline for this session is Friday, December 15, 2017.

For questions about CPA, contact Administrative Assistant Zaneta Feleo at [email protected] or 415.927.5150.
