Free Emergency Preparedness Classes

A message from Chief Sylvester:

Hello, The Sachse Police Department will be offering citizen training in the coming weeks regarding what you can do in response to an Active Shooter or other high threat situation. Although Sachse is a very safe community, I believe it is our responsibility to assist our citizens in being prepared, educated on what they can do to best protect themselves, and what to expect from a law enforcement response should the unthinkable occur in our city. We will be offering a series of classes, with two in December and two in January to citizens who wish to participate. Each class will have the same material presented and will last for approximately one and a half hours. No registration is required and this training will be conducted in a classroom environment at the police department. Our first two scheduled classes will be held Tuesday December 12th at 6:00PM and Saturday December 16th at 9:00AM. An announcement regarding January dates will be forthcoming as they are finalized.

I believe this training is relevant to today’s world and is a tangible example of our partnership together towards keeping Sachse a safe community. Should anyone have questions please feel free to contact Officer Chris Holland at [email protected]  or myself [email protected].
