Evansville woman arrested on drug charges.
On November 25, 2017, at 3:44 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a Silver 2005 Kia for speeding on US 41 near County Road 350 South. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Smith detected the odor of burnt Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. At that point he began a roadside investigation that resulted in the driver 30 year old Brooke Carter of Evansville being taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail.
At the Gibson County Jail Ms. Carter was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines and Possession of Paraphernalia. She remains in custody on a $750 bond.
Assisting Deputy Smith in his investigation was Deputy Jennifer Loesch of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, Ryan Mcintyre Conservation Officer with the DNR, and Jason Swan with the Princeton Police Department.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
