If you are shopping upon darkness, be aware of your surroundings. Don't be distracted by your cell phone. Keep your purses and bags zipped, snapped and closed. Do not carry your social security card in your wallet or purse. Take only what you need. Avoid carrying large amounts of credit cards and cash.
Safeguard your property.
Lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables (purses, cell phones, wallets, electronics) in plain view. Secure your purchases in your trunk.
